Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Business Development Manager - Solutions Architect to drive growth of engineered solutions across North America from Houston, TX, with hybrid work options. This role partners with customers, EPCs, and sales teams to identify opportunities, develop technical solutions, influence project specifications, and secure capital projects.

You will focus on custody transfer metering, process analytics, and lifecycle services while expanding Emerson's market share and recurring revenue

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
7+ years of experience in technical business development, solutions architecture, or related roles.
Knowledge of custody transfer metering, process analytical systems, instrumentation and controls.

Responsibilities

Deliver business performance that meets or exceeds orders and sales commitments.
Drive bookings, pipeline growth, and market share for engineered solutions and services.
Develop and pursue opportunities for metering, analytical, and monitoring system solutions.
Engage customers and EPCs early in the project lifecycle to influence specifications and solution selection.
Develop differentiated technical solutions that deliver customer value and business growth.
Lead or support strategic project pursuits and proposal development.
Identify lifecycle service, upgrade, digitalization, and recurring revenue opportunities.
Build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate across sales, engineering, operations, and project teams to deliver successful outcomes.
Participate in local related professional societies, key technical conferences, and trade shows.
