TISTA Science and Technology Corporation in Rockville, MD, is seeking an Engineer Solution Lead to drive platform, integration, and hosting engineering for VA SCM DevSecOps. You will translate architecture into operating services and lead cloud migrations with a focus on reliability, security, and cost optimization.

The role requires senior leadership experience across federal programs, enterprise integration, and CI/CD with strong MLOps/observability focus.

Qualifications

• 12+ years IT engineering with federal program leadership.
• 5+ years leading platform, cloud, and integration teams in Agile/SAFe.
• 5+ years operating multi-tenant OpenShift/Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms (InterSystems IRIS) and API management.
• Proven record of end-to-end cloud migrations in federal environments (AWS/Azure/VA EC).
• Strong resilience engineering, DR and COOP with high availability targets.
• Expertise embedding APM/observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk).
• Knowledge of VA OIT standards (TRM, TIC 3.0, IPv6, ATO/FedRAMP).
• Experience integrating with legacy systems (VistA) and major platforms (Oracle Health EHR, iFAMS).
• Leadership in incident response and AI-assisted SDLC/AIOps.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary accountable lead for platform, integration, and hosting engineering.
• Coordinate with VA stakeholders and OEM partners to manage platform engineering.
• Own and operate the enterprise integration hub and OpenShift environment.
• Build reusable CI/CD pipeline infrastructure using Ansible, Terraform, Helm.
• Lead end-to-end migrations into the VA Enterprise Cloud and manage cutovers.
• Establish DR/COOP plans with defined RTO/RPO and deploy monitoring tools.
• Drive incident response and root-cause analysis, with escalation when needed.
• Mentor engineers, conduct interviews, and grow the engineering team.
• Improve reusable infrastructure and validate AI-assisted DevSecOps tools.
