TISTA Science and Technology Corporation seeks a DevSecOps Engineer to secure the SCM DevSecOps pipelines for VA, embedding automated scans, SBOMs, and remedial actions across AWS/Azure environments. You will mentor teams, contribute to secure coding, and ensure compliance with VA and FedRAMP standards.

The position offers remote work options with location in Rockville, MD, and travel up to 10% as needed, supporting a mission-driven program for the VA supply chain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT security or DevSecOps, including integrating security into CI/CD for federal Agile/SAFe programs.
• 3+ years hands-on managing automated pipeline security (SAST/DAST, container scanning, secrets management, SBOMs).
• Experience automating infrastructure hardening to meet DISA STIG and CIS benchmarks.
• Familiar with RMF/ATO processes and automating continuous control evidence collection.

Responsibilities

• Embed Guardrails-as-Code into CI/CD pipelines enforcing security scans and SBOM generation.
• Manage secrets, code signing, and hardened container images while automating drift detection.
• Triage and resolve vulnerabilities within tight deadlines to avoid high-risk production risks.
