Job summary

AMDT is seeking a dynamic pre-sales professional to accelerate sales initiatives and enable customers and the sales team. You will conduct technical discovery, deliver product demos and proofs of concept, and drive product adoption across enterprise accounts.

Responsibilities include leading technical presentations, supporting RFPs/RFIs, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Sales, and Marketing. Travel of 30-50% domestically and occasionally abroad is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, CS, or sales.
• 3+ years of technical sales or sales engineering experience.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% in the US and occasionally abroad.
• Strong presentation, communication, and customer relationship skills.
• Experience with Salesforce and Jira/Smartsheet preferred.

Role Overview

This individual will play an instrumental role in accelerating our sales initiatives. You will be an integral part of the success for both our customers and sales team by performing technical discovery qualification, delivering product demonstrations and Proof of Concepts, and facilitating product adoption and technical enablement.

Your Tasks

• Lead business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations effectively
• Provide first level technical support throughout the pre-sales cycle for opportunities
• Develop relationships with key clients and partners, understand their environment, and introduce new concepts to solve problems
• Effectively position our technology against competitive industry market
• Represent our products and brand at field events such as industry and user conferences, tech summits, tradeshows, etc.
• Translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Improve and develop technical documentation to help our clients better understand our products and services
• Work cross functionally with Product Management, Sales, Development, Support, Engineering and Marketing teams
• Provide professional responses to customer RFPs / RFIs
• Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for Professional Services when necessary

Your Profile

• Willingness to travel 30-50% in the domestic US, and occasionally outside of the US
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or sales fields
• 3+ years of technical sales or sales engineering experience
• Strong presentation skills and presence in front of customers
• Balanced sales and technical acumen
• Ability to establish and maintain trust with clients
• Ability to influence key decision makers and technical stakeholders
• Excellent verbal, written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• A passion for problem solving and a roll up your sleeves to get things done attitude
• Proficiency in customer relationship management (Salesforce) and project management (Jira/Smartsheet) software
• Time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience/background in controls is a plus
• Experience/background working with large global accounts is a plus

Candidates are expected to demonstrate baseline AI literacy, including familiarity with common AI tools and the ability to responsibly use AI technologies to enhance productivity, decision‑making, and workflow efficiency.
