Purpose and Scope:

We’re seeking a passionate Solution Architect experienced in system architecture with a focus on scalability and efficiency, adhering to enterprise architecture frameworks to support environments processing large volumes of health data for data analysts and scientists.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and own technical solution requirements for enterprise-wide data-driven systems.
• Create technical designs, select products and vendors, and develop architectures.
• Provide expertise on technologies and platforms, guiding decision-making.
• Lead complex technology implementations, emphasizing reengineering and refactoring for simplicity and effectiveness.
• Align technical designs with strategic business growth and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to product roadmaps, backlogs, success criteria, and user stories.
• Maintain a systems architecture for large data processing and reporting systems, supporting growth and modernization.
• Reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), advocate for FinOps and Hyper-Automation.
• Design solutions across data applications and Big Data cloud architectures.
• Develop solutions using Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Support integrations via interfaces like REST APIs.
• Lead continuous innovation and foster a culture of consumer-driven engineering.
• Build consensus among technical and non-technical stakeholders for strategic decisions.
• Serve as Hands-On Solution Architect and final SME for responsible areas.
• Collaborate with the Chief Architect and perform as Deputy Chief Architect.
• Lead technical strategy, briefings, and milestone execution.
• Manage teams, provide coaching, mentoring, and support career growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years leading system architecture of complex Data Pipeline and Analytics systems on the cloud.
• Strong software engineering experience, including best practices and iterative development.
• 6+ years hands-on experience in data-centric software development and architecture design (e.g., Databricks, Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience with data quality, analytics, algorithms, and data strategy development.
• Experience designing secure data solutions involving PHI and PII.
• Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and present solutions effectively.
• Experience designing cost-effective, scalable cloud solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot architecture issues impacting scalability and performance.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Agile, and SAFe environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance; residing in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in healthcare or government agencies, particularly CMS.
• Certifications in data platforms, programming, or cloud services.
• Experience with AI/ML architecture design.

Working Environment:

Remote work within Eastern Time Zone, with occasional travel (<25%).
