Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) seeks a Senior Project Manager for our Oklahoma City, OK office to lead solid waste projects and manage multi-disciplinary teams.

You will oversee design tasks, budgets, schedules, client coordination, and regulatory interactions to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role requires strong leadership, 15+ years of civil engineering experience, and a PE license in OK or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of civil engineering project management experience.
  • PE license in OK or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools.
  • Established client contacts in solid waste sector.
  • Experience scoping services and budgets; able to manage profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project teams to complete engineering tasks such as airspace and earthwork volume calculations.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and project documentation.
  • Design stormwater management systems, leachate collection, and landfill gas systems.
  • Develop proposals, budgets, and schedules; manage staff and QA/QC.

Solid Waste - Senior Project Manager

Job Location: Oklahoma City, OK

Overview

As a Civil Engineering Senior Project Manager in the Waste Management Practice for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our Oklahoma City, OK office, you will manage project teams to complete engineering tasks such as airspace and earthwork volume calculations, prepare and review technical reports, design stormwater management systems, leachate collection systems, and landfill gas collection systems, perform geotechnical analyses, as well as prepare landfill grading plans and project details and specifications.

You will be directly responsible for developing proposals and project budgets and schedules, managing the engineering staff, and performing quality control. While interacting with clients, contractors, and local/state government officials, you'll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction.

In addition, you will partner with our management teams to mentor and assist in the professional development of the staff, including the performance of annual reviews and the establishment of development goals. Concurrently, our senior management teams will work with you to customize your individual career path through a variety of professional development and mentoring activities related to your project management, leadership, and business development skills.

Qualifications
  • 15+ years experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field), Master's degree in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.), with registration in OK or ability to obtain preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software.
  • Established clients/contacts in the Solid Waste client sectors.
  • Experience in scoping of service and budget (proposal) developments, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
  • Participation in both client- and professional development-based organizations.
  • Professional communication skills (speaking and writing), including experience communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials.
  • Experience with coordinating the regulatory agency review process.
