Job summary

AGEISS Inc. seeks a Solid Waste Specialist to support Fence-to-Fence tasks at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida. The role focuses on solid waste program management and related duties.

Responsibilities include assisting in regulated waste management, recycling program development, data collection and reporting, auditing responses, and field sampling. The candidate should be able to present trainings and work outdoors in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field and one year of related environmental experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of the DoD preferred.
• Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation.
• Ability to work outdoors, in inclement weather, and evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Respond to audit requests and inquiries from government agencies regarding solid waste and recycling activities.
• Analyze cost-benefit data and research strategies to lower costs.
• Collaborate to establish recycling, reduction and reuse options for waste streams.
• Conduct benchmarking, process flow studies, waste stream analysis, and technology research.
• Provide support to landfill operations, composting, MRW facility, soils management, recycling, maintenance, and construction activities.
• Provide training/educational presentations related to solid waste management.
• Collect, analyze, and prepare data for federal/state regulatory and DoD reporting requirements.
• Conduct field work for sampling.
