Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with three years of landfill operations experience and at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Valid New Mexico CDL or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire; multiple operator certifications are required after hire.
• Must pass pre-employment alcohol and drug testing and maintain CDL and certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of solid waste facilities including landfill and compost sites.
• Maintain safety for customers and staff; ensure proper use of safety equipment and protocols.
• Inspect equipment, coordinate maintenance, and track hours for preventive maintenance.
• Prepare daily, monthly, and annual reports on composting, waste handling, water usage, and air quality.
• Maintain clean facilities, manage litter control, traffic flow, and community relations; respond to inspections and inquiries.
