Job summary

Bates Trucking and Trash Removal, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager for Solid Waste Services in Cambridge, MD. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local codes, and leading a team to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of management knowledge, practices and techniques of solid waste collection.
• Two years of the required experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.
• A Class B CDL State driver’s license.
• Ability to coordinate the successful implementation of policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Communicates operation expectations and service level standards to the senior management team and monitors progress toward achieving stated goals.
• Promptly addresses customer needs and inquiries to ensure expectations are consistently met.
• Plans and oversees the development of routing service areas to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Monitors and manages vehicular performance and recommends improvements or changes to fleet operation.
• Coordinates and plans employee special events and recognition to maintain or enhance employee morale.
