Job summary

Jerome L. Taylor Trucking, Inc. seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead daily solid waste and recycling collection operations across DC, MD, and VA. You will supervise drivers and helpers, partner with management to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient service delivery, and foster teamwork and accountability.

You will drive performance, improve routing and productivity, and uphold customer satisfaction while aligning with company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• CDL license preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
• Strong leadership and team development abilities.
• Ability to plan and optimize routes and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily solid waste and recycling collection operations across multiple service lines.
• Supervise drivers and helpers; collaborate with Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and high service quality.
• Monitor routes, productivity, and service performance; implement improvements.
• Develop staff through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Manage labor, fuel, and disposal costs to support budgeting goals.
• Resolve service interruptions, customer concerns, and schedule conflicts promptly.
