Jerome L. Taylor Trucking, Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily waste and recycling collection operations across DC, MD, and VA from our Hay Market facility.

You will supervise drivers and helpers, partner with the Operations Manager, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant service. Responsibilities include optimizing routes, coordinating with dispatch and maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in safety, service quality, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Must lead and coordinate daily solid waste and recycling operations.
• Strong safety, regulatory, and DOT compliance knowledge.
• Proven ability to supervise drivers and helpers.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with dispatch, maintenance, and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily collection operations across service lines (front-load, rear-load, roll-off, industrial).
• Monitor routes, productivity, and service quality; implement improvements.
• Ensure safety culture and regulatory compliance; conduct safety meetings.
• Coordinate with maintenance for vehicle safety and reliability.
• Manage labor deployment, costs, and performance metrics.
• Support planning and budget objectives for the division.
