Job summary

HDR invites engineering interns to contribute to transportation planning and infrastructure projects from our Florida office. You will work with project teams, gain hands-on experience, and apply CAD/MicroStation/Civil 3D and GIS tools to real-world challenges.

This internship emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and exposure to cross-disciplinary collaboration within an employee-owned culture. Current undergrad or grad engineering students, strong problem-solving and communication

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Experience with CAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, GIS or similar software a plus.
Local Florida candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

Support engineers and project teams on transportation planning, design and infrastructure projects.
Assist with solid waste and waste-to-energy assignments.
Participate in field visits, project meetings and technical analyses.
Use engineering software, GIS tools and industry technologies to solve real-world challenges.
Collaborate with professionals across multiple disciplines in a team-oriented environment.
Contribute innovative ideas to improve project delivery and transportation outcomes.
