Job summary

SCS Engineers in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a Design Engineer and/or Project Manager to perform solid waste projects, including landfill gas, landfills, composting, and related infrastructure. Hybrid work arrangement available in West Palm Beach or Coconut Creek offices.

You will prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications, serve as Engineer of Record on public and private projects, coordinate with clients and staff, and support business development through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in solid waste consulting (landfill gas, air compliance, permitting).
• Florida P.E. registration or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
• MS Office and environmental consulting software proficiency; AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering and project management for solid waste projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Coordinate field work, QA/QC, and site investigations.
• Represent SCS Engineers at meetings and conferences; communicate with clients.
• Support business development through proposals and client engagement.
