Job summary

The City and County of Denver seeks a Solid Waste Customer Service Agent to serve residents with trash, recycling and related services. You will handle high-volume calls, answer inquiries, and provide accurate information while upholding policies and procedures.

The role requires data entry, data accuracy, and strong communication. A bilingual Spanish/English background is desirable; Salesforce and other system experience is a plus. On-site with potential hybrid after probation.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or GED, HiSET or TASC.
  • Three years of customer service experience in a high-volume call center or related clerical work.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; proficient computer skills.
  • Strong communication and active listening; bilingual Spanish/English desired.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems; Salesforce, Rubicon, Zuora a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Handle approximately 60 inbound phone calls daily and respond to emails.
  • Explain and clarify rules, processes, and procedures; resolve inquiries.
  • Input accurate data and maintain records in systems.
  • Compile, organize, interpret and communicate data concisely.
  • Manage time effectively and resolve customer complaints with solutions.

Ability to use 2-way radio and respond to emails.* Explains and clarifies rules, processes, and procedures, answers questions, research and resolves a variety of problems accurately within a defined scope.* Operates computer equipment to input accurate, valid, and complete data and to examine and evaluate a variety of information to determine correctness, completeness, and adherence with requirements. Verifies and corrects information as needed.* Compile, organize, interpret, and communicate data and results concisely.* Typing and/or data entry with minimal errors.* Organizing and managing time effectively.* Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time.* Performs other related duties as assigned.## What You’ll BringWe are seeking proactive individuals with a commitment to continuous process improvement and a meticulous attention to detail.
