Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for the Production Engineering Team to own the design, development, and implementation of tooling for solid rocket motors. You will drive end-to-end tooling lifecycle from concept through production, collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and vendors to ensure robust, scalable tooling.

Candidates have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 3–8+ years' experience in mechanical or production engineering, and hands-on tooling design with CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 3–8+ years in mechanical or production engineering with tooling focus.
• Experience designing, prototyping, and implementing production tooling (jigs, fixtures, molds, assembly aids, test fixtures).
• Proficient in 3D CAD and FEA for design validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end lifecycle of tooling for solid rocket motors from concept to production.
• Serve as design authority for jigs, fixtures, molds, assembly aids, test fixtures, and ground support equipment.
• Utilize CAD, FEA, DFM/ DFA to ensure robust, ergonomic tooling for high-rate manufacturing.
• Own prototyping, validation, fabrication, testing, and iterative design improvements.
• Create documentation, work instructions, maintenance procedures, and quality plans for tooling.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and external vendors to meet tooling requirements.
• Apply DFM and DFA to product and tooling designs for scalable production.
• Act as technical resource across the manufacturing value chain.
