Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze solid rocket motor components, including cases, nozzles, propellant grains, igniters, and safety components.

The role requires strong mechanical design and stress/thermal analysis, experience with CAD/FEA tools, and a solid grasp of GD&T. Travel to Anduril sites and suppliers is expected (10–25%), with eligibility for a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar.
• Experience with CAD and/or FEA software.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and hardware manufacturability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present to peers/customers.
• Willingness to travel 10–25% to other sites or suppliers; ability to obtain/hold Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• CAD design activities for mechanical components.
• Perform structural and thermal FEA analysis.
• Create and release engineering drawings and product definitions.
• Document analyses and prepare reports/presentations.
• Present results in design reviews with peers and customers.
• Support prototyping, manufacturing, and testing at sites and suppliers.
• Own the development of critical subsystems from cradle to grave.
