Job summary

Serco is seeking a Cognitive Performance Specialist to support the U.S. Army H2F initiative. You will develop mental readiness and cognitive performance optimization programs, working with a team of health professionals to enhance Soldier readiness and performance.

You will provide coaching, education, and mentorship on cognitive skills, coordinate training logistics, and stay current with evidence-based research. This role requires US work eligibility and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Legal status to work in the U.S.
• NACI (Tier 1) clearance to access U.S. Government facilities
• Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in a relevant field (preferred)
• At least 3 years as a mental performance coach or sport psychology practitioner
• Licensure in psychology with sports psychology proficiency or CMPC/CCAASP certification or ability to obtain CMPC within 2 years
• Physical ability to lift up to 45 pounds and operate in varying conditions
• Ability to travel ~10% as needed

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mental Readiness Programs across the brigade
• Advise Mental Readiness Director and health professionals on assessment and improvement
• Develop cognitive performance optimization and mental readiness training within schedules
• Provide education, coaching, and mentoring on cognitive skills for Soldiers
• Coordinate facilities and resources for government-approved courses
• Conduct literature reviews to keep the team updated on evidence-based research
• Support research and provide data to Mental Readiness Director and PD
• Participate in in-service training and professional development
