Job summary

Serco is seeking a Cognitive Performance Specialist to advance mental readiness and cognitive optimization for Soldiers. The role blends sport psychology, mental coaching, and resilience training within military settings.

You will develop programs, collaborate with health professionals, and deliver training integrated into operational schedules while staying current with research and best practices. This full-time role supports on-site missions at US Army facilities.

Qualifications

• Legal status to work in the U.S.
• Pass a NACI (Tier 1) background check to access government facilities
• Three years of demonstrable mental performance coaching or sport psychology experience with athletes or Service Members
• Licensure as a psychologist or CMPC certification (or ability to obtain CMPC within two years)
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and travel about 10% of the time

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mental Readiness Programs across the brigade
• Advise the Mental Readiness Director and health professionals on assessment and improvement
• Develop cognitive performance optimization and mental readiness training within the brigade schedule
• Provide coaching and mentoring on cognitive skills and readiness strategies
• Coordinate scheduling of courses and facilities
• Conduct literature reviews to inform evidence-based practice
• Support research and provide data to leadership and PD
