Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Cognitive Performance Specialist to support the Army's Holistic Health and Fitness program. You will design and implement mental readiness and cognitive optimization for Soldiers, leveraging sport psychology and resilience strategies.

The role requires collaboration with the Mental Readiness Director and other health professionals, plus the ability to travel up to 10% to support dispersed units. A Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Human Performance, Sport Psychology, Kinesiology/Exercise Science, or Counseling/Clinical Psychology (preferred).
• Three years of mental performance coaching experience with athletes or service members within NCAA/OLYMPIC/professional levels or military settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mental Readiness Programs across brigades.
• Collaborate with Mental Readiness Director and health professionals on assessment and improvement.
• Create and deliver cognitive performance optimization and mental readiness training.
• Provide coaching and mentoring on cognitive skills and readiness strategies.
• Coordinate facilities and resources for government-approved courses and training.
• Conduct literature reviews to stay current on evidence-based mental readiness research.
• Support research efforts and provide data to leadership and PD.
• Participate in in-service training within the H2F Performance Team.
