Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electronics Technician in Huntsville, AL to assemble cables and harnesses, solder components, and perform functional tests for space and defense products.

You will document progress, maintain records, and collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot and improve production processes. Prior soldering experience and familiarity with space/defense standards are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in soldering, electronic assembly, or electronic test in a production setting.
• Proficiency in soldering and using a wide range of electronic equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, or basic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cables, wire harnesses, and electronic components (soldering, crimping, connector installation)
• Perform functional testing, inspections, and mechanical checks on completed units
• Document work progress, track materials, and maintain production records
• Use standard bench tools and test equipment (soldering iron, wire tools, multimeter, PC-based systems)
• Support calibration, verification, and in-process quality checks
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
