Qualifications

  • Ability to train, mentor, and supervise production staff while improving efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the day-to-day workflow on the production floor.
  • Reviews production schedules and resources to maximize productivity and quality.
  • Assigns tasks to associates to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Provides training on equipment and processes; guides junior staff.
  • Monitors safety policies and maintains a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborates with Engineering on ECO and drawing changes.
  • Uses ERP to track WIP, balance time, and compile records.

Job description

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and lead daily production activities, ensuring production goals are met, processes are followed, and safety standards are maintained. This position also involves training associates, resolving issues to maintain efficiency and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads the day-to-day workflow.
  • Reviews production schedules, material, and manpower resources.
  • Assigns floor associates tasks to maximize productivity, minimize costs, and maintain quality.
  • Provides training and guidance to associates on the use of equipment and processes.
  • Provide advanced production tasks as needed.
  • Reviews and compiles operations records, such as floor and tool inspection reports, equipment and supply usage, and safety reports.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Conducts special projects as required.
  • Enforces all safety policies on the production floor.
  • Inspect products for quality and accuracy.
  • Identifying and resolving production issues promptly.
  • Serving as a point of contact on the production floor, within soldering area, communicating effectively with floor associates, Manufacturing manager.
  • Working with Engineering Department on ECO and drawing changes.
  • Utilizes the ERP system To WIP completed orders and balance times.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, IPC 610.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact with all departments in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Technical aptitude and experience with tools and machinery

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will oversee production associates on the production floor, within the soldering area.

This job operates in a professional office environment and a manufacturing setting. This role routinely uses all machinery on the production floor and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, fax machines, and calculators. While on the floor, you may be subject to loud noises.

Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
