Job summary

Jobtailor in Idaho is seeking a skilled Solder Supervisor to lead a production line focused on high-quality soldering and IPC compliance. You will set up, assign work orders, train staff, and ensure safety regulations are followed while meeting production goals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of soldering experience, proven supervisory ability, excellent communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office program suite.
  • Knowledge of IPC Standards strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional soldering experience.
  • Proven leadership skills through prior managerial/supervisory experience.
  • Frequently required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, keyboards or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop or kneel.
  • Close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus required.
  • Must comply with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of solder and supervisory activities.
  • Apply multiple solder techniques and methods.
  • Assist in decisions regarding people, material, equipment, and workflow based on product demand and mix requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain related machinery and equipment.
  • Visually inspect products to identify solder-joint quality and ensure conformance during reworks.
  • Ensure efficient completion of individual tasks and group workload.
  • Set up the solder team by collecting materials and assigning work orders.
  • Perform quality checks within the team and other assigned duties.
  • Ensure employees abide by safety regulations.
  • Assign work and work alongside employees on the production line to meet production goals.
  • Train employees to assemble products according to their assigned role.
  • Escalate production issues to the Production Supervisor or Production Manager.
  • Prepare team and quality-check documentation.
  • Request additional components for the solder team as needed to achieve goals and maintain productivity.
