Job summary

Raycap Inc. in Post Falls, Idaho invites a detail‑oriented Solder Technician Lead to supervise soldering operations, mentor a skilled team, and optimize workflow according to product demand and mix.

You will perform quality checks, set up tasks for the team, ensure safety regulations are followed, and coordinate with the Production Supervisor to meet daily goals. IPC standards knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

Job Summary

The Solder Technician Lead is responsible for performing a wide variety of solder and supervisory activities. Knowledge of multiple solder techniques and methods is an important element of this position. The Solder Technician Lead will assist in decisions regarding people, material, equipment and workflow, based on changes in product demand and mix requirements. This role may also need to set up, operate, and maintain related machinery and equipment.

Primary Job Respo nsibilities:

• Solder and Quality Maintenance and Verification
  • Visually inspect products to identify quality of solder joints and ensure conformance by Solder Technicians performing reworks.
  • Ensure efficient completion of individual tasks and group workload.
  • Set up solder team by collecting materials and assigning work orders to team members.
  • Perform quality checks within team and other duties as needed or assigned.
• Team Supervision and Training
  • Ensure all employees abide by safety regulations
  • Assign work to employees and work alongside employees on the production line to meet production goals.
  • Train employees on the procedure to assemble products per assigned role for the day.
  • Escalate production issues to Production Supervisor or Production manager as needed.
• Documentation
  • Prepare documents regarding team and quality checks and request additional components for solder team as needed to achieve goals and maintain productivity.

Job Requirements:

• Education and Certifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent education required.
• Technical Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office program suite.
  • Knowledge of IPC Standards strongly preferred.
• Professional Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional soldering experience.
  • Proven leadership skills through prior managerial/supervisory experience.

• The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and may also be required to stoop or kneel.
