Job summary

Semipack is seeking a detail-oriented Solder Tinning Technician to join our Melbourne, FL production team. You will prepare leads and components for tinning, using soldering equipment, and uphold IPC standards in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on role requires good manual dexterity, ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to quality. Prior soldering or electronics assembly experience is preferred, and safety PPE must be observed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with soldering, tinning, or electronics assembly preferred.
• Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform solder tinning on electronic components.
• Prepare materials by stripping, cleaning, and applying flux as needed.
• Operate solder pots, soldering irons, and related equipment.
• Inspect work to ensure proper coverage, cleanliness, and quality.
• Follow work instructions, drawings, and IPC standards.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Salary Range: $15.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Position Overview

Semipack is seeking a detail-oriented Solder Tinning Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and tinning leads, and components to meet strict quality and industry standards. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and experience in soldering or electronics assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform solder tinning on electronic components
• Prepare materials by stripping, cleaning, and applying flux as needed
• Operate solder pots, soldering irons, and related equipment
• Inspect work to ensure proper coverage, cleanliness, and quality
• Follow work instructions, drawings, and IPC standards
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
