Job summary

Raycap Inc. is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize production processes in Post Falls, ID. You will drive new product introductions, develop manufacturing fixtures, and collaborate with R&D, QA, and maintenance to ensure robust, cost-effective manufacturing.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, safety compliance, and continual improvement across assembly and test workflows. A Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and hands‑on shop floor work.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between R&D and Manufacturing for new product introduction.
• Develop and implement QM policies and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to test technicians and maintenance staff.
• Identify and implement manufacturing automation opportunities.
• Define equipment and tooling requirements and deploy them on the floor.
• Create assembly work instructions and equipment processing docs.
• Assist in resolving quality issues and drive improvements.
• Plan layout of manufacturing assembly and test workflows.
• Collaborate with supply chain to identify cost reductions.
• Support OSHA compliance and safety programs.
• Design fixtures and manufacturing aids; participate in QMS/EMS/OHSA reviews.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer, Sr is responsible for meeting the requirements of the Operations Department. Assists with new product introduction to the production facilities, reviews product manufacturability, test fixture development and maintains manufacturing automation and equipment needs. Provides supervision and direction to Manufacturing Engineers, Manufacturing Technician and Maintenance Technician.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between R&D and Manufacturing for new product introduction
• Supports Raycap QM program by developing and implementing policies and procedures
• Provides technical advice to test technicians
• Assesses possible manufacturing automation opportunities
• Defines requirements for additional equipment and tools and implement new equipment
• Creates product assembly work instructions and manufacturing equipment processing instructions
• Participates in the resolution of quality issues and drive associated improvements
• Identifies and plans manufacturing assembly and test workflow layout
• Works closely with supply chain resources to identify cost reduction opportunities
• Provides technical assistance with meeting OSHA requirement
• Designs assembly fixtures and other manufacturing aids
• Regular attendance at Safety Committee meetings for review and discussion of the performance of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management (EMS), and (Occupational Health & Safety Association (OHSA); ensuring processes remain sustainable, suitable and effective
• Continuous assessment of opportunities for improvement and any needed changes to management systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering
• Working knowledge of electricity and electrical circuits and assemblies
• 2 – 5 year’s experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills through experience, training and working well with others
• Ability to work hands‑on in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with OSHA Compliance and QM
