Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Field Engineer - Trackers for the Cold Creek Solar & Storage Project near San Angelo, Texas. You will oversee the assembly and installation of tracker systems, provide field engineering support, and ensure safety, quality, and timely execution.

Responsibilities include planning, material management, quantity verification, and coordination of system turnover, with emphasis on safety and adherence to project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (or international equivalent) with 5–8 years of relevant experience or 9–12 years if no degree.
• Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) and a zero-incident safety mindset.
• Ability to conduct field inspections on construction sites, including walking on uneven surfaces and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of EPC and EPCM construction programs, means and methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches as part of Work Planning & Packaging.
• Interfaces in planning construction methods and procedures.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases; prepares quantity takeoffs of field materials and equipment.
• Verifies commodities in quantity tracking systems.
• Ensures safety and quality control, maintaining zero-incident safety practices.
• Develops understanding of system scope and drawings for package turnover.
• Reviews and approves inspection plans and coordinates subcontractor submittals.
