Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is hiring a Solar Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, service, and repair PV solar systems and related equipment. The role advances from Level I to Level III, encompassing preventive and corrective maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and switchyard operations.

The position requires flexibility to work nights, holidays, and weekends, travel up to 5%, and strong safety culture. It offers a path for growth within a growing renewable energy portfolio.

Qualifications

• Level I requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to travel approximately 5% as needed.
• Willingness to work nights, holidays and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher level technicians in maintenance tasks.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on PV systems.
• Operate PV solar power plant systems safely and efficiently.
• Complete work orders and documentation for PM systems.
• Participate in required training and safety procedures.
