Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Solar Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, service and repair PV solar systems and related equipment. The role spans Level I–III with increasing responsibilities, including electrical troubleshooting and documentation.

The position requires flexibility for overtime and travel as needed, with a focus on safe, efficient solar plant operations. A high school diploma or GED is required, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; willingness to obtain GED within 6 months.
• Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Understanding of safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Ability to operate a computer and standard business software.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher level technicians with maintenance and routine tasks.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance within level scope.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment; operate PV solar plant systems.
• Complete work orders and contribute to safety and environmental requirements.
