This is not a residential solar role. The ideal candidate understands the complexity, scale, and standards of large distributed energy projects, confidently managing systems within a national operator’s portfolio to ensure optimal performance.

This company owns and operates one of the largest C&I solar fleets in the country, supported by institutional partners and real estate relationships. With a strong project pipeline and growth platform, it offers a long-term career opportunity in a professional, mission-driven organization.

Why This Role Is Worth Your Time

If you’re working in commercial solar, you know the importance of structure and support. This role provides everything you need—tools, training, a fleet vehicle, support—and trusts you to own your region and do the job right.

Benefits include:

  • Ownership of your region with autonomy and support from a strong operations team
  • Company truck, tools, PPE, and access to digital field systems
  • 100% employer-paid health and dental insurance

The Role

As an Energy Optimization Field Technician, you’ll support the commissioning, optimization, and maintenance of commercial and industrial PV systems. You’ll work on arrays, inverters, monitoring platforms, trackers, and balance-of-system equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and performance.

Core Responsibilities
  • Leading commissioning activities and system checks per project specs and schedules
  • Performing diagnostics on C&I systems
  • Conducting thermal imaging, insulation resistance testing, and QA procedures
  • Managing documentation via a centralized platform
  • Responding to faults and executing on-site repairs
  • Supporting preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Following safety protocols such as OSHA and NFPA 70E

This hands-on, independent role requires outdoor work, regional travel, and real-time problem solving.

Candidate Profile
  • 3–4 years of proven C&I solar experience
  • Deep understanding of inverter behavior, DAS, and schematics
  • Strong diagnostics, repair, and optimization skills
  • Detail-oriented and safety-conscious
