Job summary

GroundWork Renewables in Burbank, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer II to transform project requirements into MET stations, module monitors, and related drawings. You will produce design packages using AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD Electrical, and Inventor, collaborating with Sales, PM, Manufacturing, and Field teams.

The role emphasizes accurate drawings, data-driven decisions for energy yield models, and independent work on defined scopes with mentorship from senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Autodesk suite (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD MEP, Inventor).
• Ability to build detailed design packages accounting for manufacturability, installation, and long-term field reliability.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Translate project requirements into construction and Manufacturing drawing packages to GroundWork design standards.
• Review client specifications for feasibility and flag gaps in technical meetings and reviews.
• Gather requirements from Sales, Project Management, and Field; coordinate design changes with teams and partners.
• Support the Burbank manufacturing team through assembly and testing; resolve build issues.
• Own defined portions of larger projects and ensure customer requirements are met.
• Perform peer reviews of drawings and project documentation before release.
