Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Systems Design Engineer to develop detailed construction drawings for sensor stations and solar monitoring equipment on utility‑scale solar projects. You will translate project requirements into CAD packages for manufacturing teams, field installers, and EPC partners.

The role requires a 5+ year CAD background with Autodesk tools (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical/MEP or Inventor), strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage defined design scopes independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional CAD experience.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical/MEP, or Inventor.
• Experience creating detailed construction drawing packages for solar projects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage defined design scopes.

Responsibilities

• Translate project requirements into detailed CAD packages for manufacturing teams.
• Create electrical and mechanical drawings and equipment layouts.
• Develop drawing packages through IFC and as-built stages.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, project management, and field teams.
• Support manufacturing during assembly and testing; drive design improvements.
• Review drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and reliability.
