Job summary

Planted Solar in the SF Bay Area is seeking a Solution Engineer to own early customer engagement, strategy, and proposal development for solar projects. You will support the project origination, design, and cost estimation while applying your knowledge of our technology and the energy market.

This role offers a fast-paced, high-ownership environment with cross-functional collaboration. A 2+ year track record in energy or solar is preferred, with 100% in-person work in the Bay Area and a salary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proactive, high-ownership, hands-on attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of project origination and development to expand the project pipeline.
• Own site analysis, array design, and cost estimation for early stage solar projects.
• Produce financial analyses, energy models, and project proposals for external stakeholders.
• Provide necessary engineering support for clients throughout the project development process.
• Assist in detailed design and optimization of later-stage projects.
• Drive the creation and improvement of development tools, project management processes, and SOPs.
• Develop and present analysis and materials for senior management.
