Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Eunice, Louisiana, is seeking a Solar Site HSE Supervisor to lead on-site health, safety and environmental efforts across projects. Travel to locations nationwide is required, with per-diem support for temporary living expenses and potential project transfers.

You will implement HSE plans, deliver training, conduct inspections, and mentor junior staff to ensure safe, compliant operations on complex construction sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• 5 years’ experience in a health and safety role in a related industry; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Solid understanding of OH&S and environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Conflict resolution skills and ability to problem-solve.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Strong working knowledge of construction processes and terminology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Implements and supports project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, and other safe work practices.
• Identifies, evaluates, develops and delivers project specific HSE training.
• Implements district HSE communication strategies on projects.
• Recognizes, evaluates, and advises on hazard identification.
• Leads and conducts project HSE inspections and monitors the quality and effectiveness of inspections and trade safety plans.
• Develops and maintains project emergency response plans and environmental plans.
• Monitors and audits trade contractor HSE performance.
• Participates in on-site investigative processes and corrective actions.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders.
• Coaches, trains and mentors HSE Coordinators and other employees.
