Job summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. in Eunice, Louisiana, is seeking an HSE Coordinator to lead project health, safety and environmental excellence across sites.

You’ll monitor the HSE Plan, develop training, perform inspections and help implement corrective actions, while supporting emergency response and security on projects as needed. Travel to other project locations in the region may be required.

Qualifications

• Working toward Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working toward safety designation.
• 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• Ability to learn OH&S, environmental legislation and HSE processes.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve conflicts with craft workers.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Ability to learn construction processes and terminology.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology.
• Not eligible for visa sponsorship; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assist with implementation of the project HSE Plan and environmental plan.
• Identify and assist in conducting project specific HSE training.
• Provide project team with HSE information and trends; help create action plans.
• Assist with hazard identification tools development and implementation.
• Conduct project HSE inspections and verify corrective actions.
• Support emergency response plan and project security requirements.
• Gather, review and provide input on trade documentation; monitor safety compliance.
• Verify equipment and tool inspections are conducted and documented.
• Notify stakeholders of incidents and support investigations.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships.
