Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Site Development Engineer based in Pleasanton, CA to support project development, bidding and engineering for utility-scale solar projects. You will develop site plans, BOMs, perform civil design tasks, and collaborate with construction teams to meet schedules while pursuing design optimization.

Required: AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science; utility-scale solar design experience and PE

Qualifications

Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Design and engineering experience in construction, transportation, renewables, oil & gas, data center, or related industries.
Experience in utility-scale solar design software (PV farm).

Responsibilities

Develop Preliminary Site Plans and Class 0 BOM to support project development engineering, bidding and estimating.
Perform document reviews and offer technical support, including ALTA surveys, topographic assessments, conditional use permits, hydrology studies and environmental site assessments.
Produce high quality Site Plans and Class 1 BOM to other engineering disciplines and construction team.
Conduct fundamental civil design work, including surface analysis, watershed analysis, and preliminary grading.
Collaborate with other departments to provide support during execution and construction phases, ensuring adherence to the project schedule.
Attend internal and external meeting as needed.
Enhance team performance by actively seeking opportunities for process improvement and design optimization.
