Job summary

NTH Consultants, Ltd. is seeking a civil engineer with site/civil design focus and solar energy project experience to join our team in Michigan.

You will develop site layouts, perform calculations, and coordinate with the project team to deliver design-ready documents. The role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a team or independently, and a willingness to travel to job sites within Michigan.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Site/Civil Design from a 4-year accredited college or university.
• FE/EIT or ability to obtain professional registration in Michigan within 12 months preferred.
• 3+ years of solar energy and/or Battery Energy Storage System site development experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review contract documents, designs, and specifications for civil projects.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, plans, specifications, and reports.
• Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed site civil and development features.
• Prepare site design calculations and lead project team efforts.
• Perform engineering analyses with/without software.
• Develop design details and specify construction materials.
• Coordinate construction quality control, site visits, and review daily field reports.
