Job summary

Smith is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the solar team in Albany, NY. You will manage RFQs, prepare formal proposals, and ensure CRM data is accurate to support fast, on-time fulfillment.

You will lead end-to-end sales order processes, coordinate with purchasing and operations, onboard new accounts, and keep customers updated on orders and logistics. A Bachelor's degree or two years in sales support is required, with strong Excel skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or two years in a sales support role.
• Experience managing RFQs and proposals is a plus.
• Strong data entry and Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational support to the sales team by managing RFQs, preparing proposals, and ensuring CRM data is accurate.
• Lead the end-to-end administrative process for sales orders, including creation and tracking of POs and SOs for on-time fulfillment.
• Be the primary liaison between sales, purchasing and operations to verify inventory, inspections and shipping timelines.
• Manage onboarding of new accounts with follow-through and detail tracking.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding order statuses, tracking numbers and logistics updates.
• Ensure all transactions adhere to Smith's SOPs and trade requirements.
