Job summary

Progressive Recruitment is seeking a Quality Control Lead for a solar construction project in Laredo, TX. The role focuses on overseeing quality assurance activities during site construction and commissioning to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and industry standards.

The selected candidate will lead inspections, manage NCRs, and coordinate with engineering, safety, and project management teams to drive timely corrective actions and robust turnover documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA/QC experience on renewable energy, power, or industrial construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and procedures.
• Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, OSHA and related codes for large solar projects.
• Proven track record of NCRs, inspections, and turnover documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC activities during construction and commissioning of utility-scale solar facilities.
• Perform field inspections to verify conformance with IFC drawings and specs.
• Manage NCRs, punch lists, and corrective actions with contractors and vendors.
• Maintain quality records, reports, and turnover packages for project teams.
