The AES Corporation operates solar energy plants and is seeking an O&M technician to support the Charles City, VA solar sites. You will perform electrical and mechanical tasks, help with maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance at the facility.

You should bring a high school diploma or GED, with preferred technical solar certification. The role involves field work, training, and occasional travel to nearby sites.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or Solar certification preferred.
• Experience with solar systems is an asset.
• Basic electrical/mechanical knowledge expected.

Mansioni

• Perform and assist with O&M activities for solar PV sites and substations.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, calibration, and routine maintenance.
• Assist with switching and clearance orders and documentation.
• Operate plant electrical and mechanical systems and follow safety rules.
• Participate in training and professional development.
• Travel to regional sites as needed and work overtime when required.
