Job summary

The AES Corporation in California is seeking a seasoned Solar Technician to join our AES CE Operations team. You will perform O&M on utility-scale solar plants, including field maintenance, safety compliance and hands-on electrical work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years PV O&M or related power-plant experience, a 2-year technical degree or journeyman qualifications, and the ability to lead other technicians while traveling to sites in California.

Qualifications

• 2 year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
• 3+ years as PV O&M solar technician or 5+ years in power plant with 1+ year PV O&M or construction.
• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals and control devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M activities for utility-scale solar plants in California's Central Valley and Kern County.
• Conduct corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on specified equipment.
• Ensure work complies with environmental and safety requirements.
• Work independently or in crews and travel to sites as required.
