AES CE is seeking a Solar Apprentice to support Preventative & Corrective maintenance at utility-scale Solar Energy Plants in Surry, VA. You will play a pivotal role in learning and applying maintenance skills under supervision to ensure reliable, safe operation.

As AES CE grows, this role offers hands-on experience, safety training, and the opportunity to contribute to the portfolio while developing technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or solar certification preferred.
• Experience in solar system installation is an asset.
• Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals.

Mansioni

• Own assigned O&M activities for solar PV sites and substations in Surry, VA.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance as qualified.
• Safely operate electrical and mechanical plant systems.
• Assist/learn switching and clearance orders.
• Participate in training and document procedures and operations.

Formazione

High school diploma or GED

Technical degree or Solar certification

Experience in solar system installation (asset)

Basic knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals
