Job summary

MasTec, Inc. is seeking a Solar Technician Helper to assist with assembling, installing, and maintaining PV systems on roofs and structures. You will work from schematics and site assessments, using hand and power tools, and help lay out and install racking and modules while adhering to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have basic construction experience, good reading of plans, and a commitment to zero-injury principles. This is a physically active role with opportunities for on-site training.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Experience as laborer in construction or PV-related field.
• Knowledge of assembly, installation, or maintenance of PV systems.
• Must understand and follow directions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety policies.
• Use hand and power tools to install PV systems per drawings.
• Lay out, assemble and install solar modules and support structures.
• Install structural, mechanical, and rack systems and PV panels.
• Lift and move building materials and keep tools clean.
• Participate in pre-job safety planning and reporting.
