Job summary

Sora Resource Group in Milford, CT is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial and municipal solar projects from kickoff to closeout. You will manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors, coordinating with utilities and field teams to ensure execution aligns with design intent.

The role requires at least 4 years in commercial electrical or solar project management, strong leadership, and proficiency with project management tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, or utility-scale solar.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong budgeting and cost control experience.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and municipal solar projects across CT (rooftop, ground mount, carport, portfolios).
• Lead project kickoff meetings and establish clear execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules (critical path, long lead items, timelines).
• Manage procurement of major equipment (modules, inverters, switchgear, transformers, BOM).
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection, witness testing, and approvals.
• Track project budgets and monitor costs to ensure margins.
• Review and manage subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Submit and track RFIs, submittals, COs, and contracts.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent.
• Oversee permitting and inspection processes.
• Manage project billing milestones and support O&M transition.
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
