Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Solar Project Manager to join our growing Solar market team.

This role focuses on scope, schedule, and budget management, and serves as the primary client contact for projects, building lasting relationships across the industry to generate repeat work and guide successful execution. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of engineering or related professional services consulting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or project management field.
• 2-6 years of experience in a project coordinator, project manager, or similar role.
• PMP or related certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work and qualification packages.
• Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage stakeholder relationships (internal and external).
• Coordinate and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop and implement project plans and schedules, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Oversee project work and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Track project health and take corrective action when necessary.
• Manage uncertainty and change, such as scope creep and change orders.
• Ensure timely invoicing and accounts receivable collection.
