Job summary

Walbec Group is seeking an experienced Solar Construction Project Manager to lead autonomous solar projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, and communications, coordinate with clients and subs, and ensure safety and quality on site across the Midwest.

The role requires strong knowledge of PV/DC systems, project controls, and field leadership. Overnight travel 3-4 days weekly is expected, with a focus on delivering profitable projects and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Strong experience managing solar construction projects and budgets.
• Robust knowledge of PV/DC electrical systems and installation practices.
• Proficient in project scheduling, cost reporting, and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Manage solar construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
• Oversee scheduling, budgets, communications plans, and risk management.
• Lead client and subcontractor meetings; resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor safety and compliance, conduct weekly audits and incident reporting.
• Prepare baseline schedules and update progress against plans.
• Track project budget vs. actuals and implement mitigations.
• Oversee field productivity and course-correct to protect profits.
• Travel overnight 3-4 days per week across the Midwest.
