Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking a Solar Field Engineer to support large utility-scale solar construction projects across Virginia. The role requires 5–6+ years of relevant experience and ABET-accredited engineering education. Travel will be extensive as projects run site-to-site across the region.

You will coordinate with EPCs, regulators, and internal teams to ensure technical integrity, schedule adherence, and safety compliance on multi-site solar builds.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited 4-year engineering degree required.
• Minimum HS Diploma required.
• Solar construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the solar project management team by handling specific portions of the project, especially technical issues.
• Coordinate with Site Owner's Representatives, Operations, Project Controls, Technical Services, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate with EPC counterparts, permitting agencies, and Owners Engineers.
• Work with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and safety personnel.
• Participate in status update meetings with EPC contractors.
• Oversee construction progress to ensure EPC contract compliance and permitting requirements.
• Review EPC deliverables and contract documentation for completeness.
