Expert Executive Recruiters (EER Global) is seeking an experienced Solar Field Construction Manager to oversee utility-scale solar projects across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic.

This 100% field-based role involves regular travel to active sites, leading day-to-day field execution and coordinating contractors, crews, vendors, inspectors, and project teams to deliver safe, on-time work within budget and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction experience, preferably in utility-scale solar or related fields.
• Strong understanding of solar construction, scheduling and field execution.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress tracking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Primavera P6/Microsoft Project.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily field operations and coordinate subcontractors, crews, materials and equipment.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, schedule, and site performance.
• Enforce OSHA and project safety requirements, including toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, inspectors, local authorities, and internal teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, site documentation, and progress reporting.
• Identify and resolve construction, design, weather, material, and scheduling issues.
• Track labor, materials, equipment, and project costs to minimize delays and risk.
• Support contractor coordination, commissioning, project closeout, and turnover to O&M.
• Ensure work complies with plans, specifications, codes, permits, and contractual requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solar Field Construction Manager to oversee utility-scale solar projects across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic. This is a 100% field-based position, with regular travel to active project sites.

You will lead day-to-day site execution, coordinating contractors, crews, vendors, inspectors, and project teams to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment.
• Familiarity with permitting, inspections, OSHA requirements, and construction compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

This role is best suited for candidates based in Virginia or nearby Mid-Atlantic markets who are comfortable with 100% travel to project sites.
