Job summary

IntelliPro is seeking a Project Engineer – Solar Construction in Danville, VA for a 1-year contract with potential extension. This field-focused engineering role supports utility-scale solar projects across Virginia, coordinating with EPC contractors and internal teams to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.

Travel will be 75%+ across Virginia, with per diem provisions for eligible candidates. The ideal candidate has 5–6+ years of engineering experience, solar field and utility-scale

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Prior Solar Field Engineer experience.
• Prior utility-scale solar construction experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with internal/external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the solar project management team with technical and engineering activities.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with contracts and specs.
• Participate in site walks and environmental/permitting compliance.
• Review deliverables and provide technical feedback.
• Prepare weekly project status reports for stakeholders.
