Job summary

621 Energy is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to support design, construction and commissioning of commercial and nonprofit solar PV projects in Massachusetts. This full-time hybrid role is based at our West Concord, MA office and reports to the Principal of 621 Energy.

You will perform site visits, develop layouts and energy production models, generate construction documents, and coordinate with clients, engineers and installers to meet safety standards and project milestones.

Qualifications

• One year minimum Solar PV design experience.
• Familiarity with NEC codes and permitting.
• Experience with site assessments and energy modeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform site visits for project feasibility and assist with preliminary site layouts and energy production modeling.
• Develop solar designs including equipment layouts, site plans and electrical schematics that conform to NEC codes and permitting requirements.
• Produce construction document sets, BOMs, equipment specs, and drawings for construction and as-built documentation.
• Support utility interconnection and permitting application processes.
• Provide field support and quality control during construction and review installation adherence to drawings.
