Job summary

Resonant Energy in Boston is seeking a Solar Design Manager to move solar projects from concept through construction for non-profits and affordable housing developers. You will own the end-to-end design process using AutoCAD, Scanifly and Aurora, ensure NEC/building and fire code compliance, and coordinate with architects and engineers to integrate solar into building plans from the start.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
2+ years of solar PV and/or BESS electrical design experience.
Working knowledge of NEC, building code, and fire code as applied to solar PV or BESS.
Preferred NABCEP certificate.
Familiarity with new construction solar integration.
Drone pilot's license and operational experience with flying drones.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design process for project portfolio from site surveys to construction drawings.
Develop PV layouts, single-line diagrams, and system specifications using AutoCAD, Scanifly, and Aurora.
Coordinate with third-party engineers and support utility interconnection.
Work with architects and building engineers to integrate solar into building plans from the start.
